Background
Music has been the foundation of my life since early childhood. I began playing the violin at the age of three, growing up in a musical family where both my grandfather and mother were professional musicians. This rich heritage shaped my path and instilled in me a lifelong passion for the violin.
My formal education in music began with scholarships to some of the world’s most prestigious institutions: the Purcell School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music in the UK, followed by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada. I was fortunate to study under internationally acclaimed violinists and pedagogues, including Lorand Fenyves, Yossi Zivoni, and Yfrah Neaman — mentors who profoundly influenced both my playing and teaching.
Over the course of my career, I was a member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, appeared in concert halls across Europe and North America, and held teaching appointments at leading institutions such as Oxford University.
Stage, Studio & Teaching
My work as a session musician has led to extensive recording experience in the film and entertainment industry. I have contributed to over 400 Hollywood film soundtracks, including major titles such as Black Panther, The Lord of the Rings, Wicked, and Gravity. In the commercial music world, I have collaborated on recordings with renowned artists such as Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, and Miley Cyrus, among many others.
Today, I continue to perform, record, and teach, maintaining a balance between the stage and the studio. I am currently based in Calgary, Canada, where I live with my wife and three children, and where I remain committed to nurturing the next generation of musicians through thoughtful, personalized instruction.
Recording Career
Daniel’s recording career is equally expansive. He has contributed to over 400 film soundtracks, including major titles such as The Lord of the Rings, Black Panther, Dunkirk, and Guardians of the Galaxy. His work with top Hollywood and international composers — including Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Max Richter, and Alan Silvestri — has placed him at the forefront of film and television music. Daniel is registered on over 10,000 recording tracks, reflecting a prolific output across virtually every musical genre.

In the commercial music world, he has recorded and performed with legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Liam Gallagher, Josh Groban, Miley Cyrus, Eric Clapton, and Diana Krall.
